"Every child deserves a space to explore, and every carer deserves a village."
Ballywatt Tea And Tots was born from a simple belief: that early years education and community support should be accessible to everyone, regardless of background or circumstances.
In our local church hall in Bushmills, we've created more than just a playgroup—we've cultivated a living community where carers find friendship, children build foundational skills, and isolation melts away over shared cups of tea.

Reducing isolation
Every Tuesday during term time, our church hall transforms into a sanctuary of play, laughter, and connection.
Children engage with age-appropriate educational toys in a safe, stimulating environment. From building blocks to creative play, every corner invites discovery.
Group singing sessions that develop language skills, rhythm, and social confidence. Traditional nursery rhymes meet local Northern Irish favourites.
Builds early literacy and bonding through music
A space for parents and carers to share experiences, exchange advice, and build lasting friendships over refreshments.
Healthy snacks for the little ones and hot tea & coffee for the grown-ups. A moment to pause and recharge.

Coming to Tea and Tots was a lifeline during those early months. My daughter made her first friends here, and I found mine too.
